HIV+ Outreach
As part of its ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access through financial support, Shine Thee Light Foundation proudly established a partnership with Presbyterian Hospital – Acha Annex, Bepanda – Douala to support individuals living with HIV who are unable to afford their antiretroviral medications (ARVs).
This outreach initiative was more than a routine visit it was a moment of compassion, connection, and renewed hope. During the visit, the foundation provided essential antiretroviral medications, ensuring that beneficiaries could continue their treatment without interruption. In addition, food supplies were distributed to support their nutritional needs, recognizing that proper nutrition plays a vital role in the effectiveness of HIV treatment and overall well-being.
Beyond the material support, the team offered moral encouragement and emotional support, taking time to listen, engage, and uplift the individuals present. For many, this was a powerful reminder that they are not alone in their journey.
The impact of the visit was deeply felt. There was a visible sense of relief, gratitude, and renewed strength among the beneficiaries hope that their health challenges can be managed, and that there are people who genuinely care about their well-being.
This partnership reflects our unwavering dedication to removing financial barriers to healthcare and ensuring that no one is left behind due to inability to pay. Through initiatives like this, the foundation continues to shine a light where it is needed most bringing not only support, but dignity, compassion, and lasting impact to vulnerable communities.
As we move forward, We remains committed to strengthening this partnership and expanding its reach, so that more individuals living with HIV can access the care, support, and hope they deserve.
